Texttogift makes online shopping child’s play

TextToGift is the first merchant supporting cardless transactions. Cardless purchases are down via the Cardlesspay platform which provides an easy to use Mobile Payment gateway for web as well as retail Stores.

In addition to just being an online store, it provides a simple way to wish and gift your friends and relatives. The people who received the gift can buy anything from the online store by using their mobile phone and the gift certificate they received.

Another value added feature included in the Text to Gift website is the ability to select the date and time the gift message should be delivered to your friends and relatives, this makes it impossible to forget another birthday. The money on the gifted person’s account never expires. What makes the Text to Gift and Cardlesspay service so amazing is the fact that you can accumulate as much credits as you want from various avenues and then use them all together, they make it possible for you to really get what you wanted this birthday/Christmas.

Although the money on the cell phone account can be directly accepted by other web and retail merchants in the United States, it is expected that the market penetration will not be enough to serve all the consumer’s needs. For this reason in addition to selling gift items inside the online Text to Gift store, we also sell gift cards of Major retailers and restaurants.

Once you have been nominated to receive a gift, you are automatically a Cardlesspay.com customer. The person can login onto the cardlesspay.com website to see their account balances and transaction records. You can deposit additional money into your account via Google checkout or your Pay Pal account.

Since Google checkout and Paypal are the only 2 ways money can be gifted or deposited into your account, you don’t have to worry about securing your credit card or bank information. This means that no credit card is needed at all, no credit card or bank information is stored at any point. Now that is what we call save and secure online shopping.

Welcome to Mobile shopping with Text To Gift and Cardlesspay!

TOP 10 sales killers that prevent success - Part2

As promised, here is part two of Zensible’s piece on the TOP 10 sales killers that prevent success

Sales Killer #6 - Not closing the deal

A lot of sales people have not perfected the art of keeping quiet, they want to tell you all there is to know and impress you with their vast amount of information on the product at hand. Many prospective clients have walked away empty handed because of the salesman over selling. Once the client has indicated his interest and that he or she would like the product, the sale is done. Stop and say thank you for your time.

Sales Killer #7 - Ego and money

Ever had the idea that someone was trying to pawn something off on you, just because they were going to make some cash out of you? Just like you, clients know when you don’t have their best interests at hand, they also no when money is the driving factor behind a sale. Try and forget about your commission and try to be helpful. They’ll be back!

Sales Killer #8 - Not knowing how to close the sale

Being in sales for a couple of years I have seen many tips and tricks, the one that stands out for is giving the product to your prospective client to hold in their hands. Just the thought of them having it and you entrusting them with it will go along way in getting them to buy it. Other more direct options include saying things like: “How will you be paying today sir, cash or account?” or maybe “I will take this to the counter to get wrapped for you sir, please follow me”. Try them and see what works for you.

Sales Killer #9 - Negligence

You might have been doing the same job and selling the same product for years, but to every new client, this is an absolutely new experience. Don’t just browse over the details because your know it like the back of your hand, they don’t. You need to be enthusiastic about them owning one of your products, sell it to them like you wold like something to be sold to you, focus on the details of the product. With experience you will get to know your clients and what to focus on with various clients, practice this, after all it does make perfect…

Sales Killer #10 - Only going half the way

If the product you sell is shipped and promised in 3 days, what will happen if it arrives late or even doesn’t arrive at all. You need to go the whole 9 yards to ensure that your client always comes first and that their every expectation is fulfilled. Think and plan ahead, you will thank yourself later.

Well, I hope these 10 lessons might help you in becoming a better salesman or just make you think of those little things that slip away year after year…

Please let me know what you think and even add your own tips and advice.

TOP 10 sales killers that prevent success

This is a topic that I have been thinking about for a very long time, the fact of the matter is that no matter who you are or what you do, you are selling something. Whether you are selling yourself, a service or a product. Everyone is selling something in some or other way. There are also certain obstacles that stand in our way of making sales every day. I will have a look at the top 10 sales killers that prevent us from successfully negotiating a sale in my opinion of course. This article will be done in a 2 part series, well without further ado, here follows the first five sales killers:

Sales Killer #1 - Bad first impression

If you want people to listen, think and remember you, there are certain things that you must get in order. Think of your last meeting or that last salesman that tried to sell you something, did he appear professional, was he well groomed, was he confident in himself, his service or his product? It is a well known fact that people with rather support an enthusiastic and confident sales person than one with product knowledge and no inter personal skills. So, next time you try and sell to someone, wear a nice suit, smell nice and be confident!

Sales Killer #2 - Too talkative

When people constantly talk, they are telling their future customers, this monologue will sell nothing. When you’re asking question, you are interacting, when you are interacting you are making sales and gaining loyal clients. Once you know what the client’s needs are, then only can you fulfill them.

Sales Killer #3 - Limited vocabulary

Words create thoughts and pictures, they invoke smells and experiences, they recall memories and stir emotions. Avoid words like contracts and sole mandates, these words create the feeling of efforts and hard work, they also sound very corporate. Rather use words like agreements and paperwork, these tend to set people at ease and make them a lot more trusting. In future always think of words that might have a negative connotation and replace them with friendlier and informal ones.

Sales Killer #4 - Lack of time spent on customer relationships

No one wants to buy and even entertain the idea of long term agreements with someone they don’t know and don’t trust. Take the time and put in the effort to make that connection with your clients, this will build trust and en still confidence in you and your product.

Sales Killer #5 - Pre select your candidates

Surely, if I don’t own a car you wont try to sell me car insurance are? If you don’t a radio cd players, why would you want cds? These are just some of the questions you should ask yourself before approaching prospective clients with an offer or a product. Will there be any need for your product, will your client gain anything from owning your product or service, if not, there is no reason to try and sell it to them. Ask yourself 3 or 4 questions beforehand, ask your prospective client one or two to identify those needs in them, if its not there. Move along swiftly…

Please check back soon for Sales killers 6 through 10 later in the week… Please also leave a comment and tell me what you think.
